Ginger was listed by the shelter as a two year old golden retriever. however we believe she is a golden/husky mix and that she is most likely younger, more like 1 to 1 1/2 yrs old. She is still very puppyish, and as sweet as sweet can be. She likes to play, she is very curious about everything and she needs and deserves a home of her own. She is living with three large dogs and so far she has no issues. She crates pretty good, and does seem to be housetrained. Her coat is not in great shape, but after a bath and  a good brushing and good nutrition that will change. Her coat is a beautful golden color with blonde highlights, just gorgeous coloring. She loves to give kisses, and loves to be petted, and likes to be right by your side. As she can still be puppyish we wont place her with very small (young) children. She weighs about 60 lbs, so her weight is very good.

Ginger is spayed and UTD on her shots and HW neg. We will worm her and start her on flea and HW prevention.

UPDATE:

Ginger is a very contented dog especially if she is able to be by your side. She does not like loud noises, so she would prefer a quiet home, Ginger is not real demanding, a short walk and a snuggle will do this girl. A retired couple, or a single lady would be perfect for her. She knows sit and down, and is very food motivated. She is pretty good on a leash, but cannot be trusted off leash, as she will run. A fenced yard would be perfect for her. She seems ok with other dogs, but is not real confident around very large dogs. If you are looking for a totally devoted companion then she is your girl !!!

Archie was found on a roadside, matted with an infected eye.  He was treated, cleaned up, neutered and given all shots.  He was adopted by an older gentleman who passed away recently and his kids did not want to keep him. 

Archie is approximately 8, has attitude coming out his ears and is a wonderful companion dog.  He would prefer a home without cats (he doesn't hurt them, he just likes to run with them) he gets along great with dogs and people.  Archie would like a home without small children.

Lucy is a 4 year old Basset mix. She is very laid back! She will be arriving soon and we will have more information and pictures.

Lucy has just arrived! She is a wonderful companion! She gets along with other dogs and is such a "go with the flow" type of girl! She is a sweet dog that is is housebroken and crate trained. If you are looking for a love then Lucy is your girl.

Stella is available for the Foster To Adopt Program!

Stella is an approximately 1- 1/2 year old Black Lab mix. She will be arriving soon with her puppies. Stella is the proud momma of 4 brown and 3 black healthy little puppies! The puppies appear to be Lab/Golden mixes. More information soon! Stella will be arriving on July 4th!

Elizabeth is available for the Foster To Adopt Program!

Elizabeth was pulled from a shelter on the day that she was going to die.  She is about 3-4 years old. She likes other dogs, likes children, has not been checked out with cats yet.  She is spayed, vaccinated, wormed and has been checked for heartworm. Elizabeth has just arrived.

Elizabeth Is a great girl who is approx 3 years old. She is a sweet, kind and gentle dog that wants nothing more than to have a person to please. She is easy to handle and gets along pretty well with other dogs. She would prefer to be the only one though. She is completely crate trained. Knows her name and looks to her person for approval.    She is very smart and will make a great companion. She is a very sweet girl and tolerates the other dogs but really just wants a person(s ) to please. She is not interested in playing with the other dogs but watches them and tolerates the puppies jumping on her.We wont place her with very young children, and would prefer a quieter home for her.

Maxine is a 3 year old, 12 pound female Miniature Schnauzer. She was confiscated from a breeder for deplorable living conditions. The breeder threatened to drown her but finally agreed to give her up to rescue. She does well with other dogs and craves human attention! Jasmin is a small dachund mix she is the last of a litter that was turned into a high kill shelter in MO. All her siblings were taken except her, we think because she is a little shy in the shelter. We are unsure what she is mixed with, because of her beautiful brindle coat, but that makes her very unusual and a real stand out !! Jasmin should be arriving on July 11th provided her transport fills.

Toby is a Collie/Shepherd mix. He has just arrived and is doing very well. He loves to play and gets along great with other dogs! He rides excellent in the car and is a very loving boy! He is approximately 1 year old. His coat is beautiful and would love to have an active family! He has alot of energy and will make a great companion!

UPDATE:

Toby is a sweetheart!!!  He is approx 1 year old, a  Collie/Shep mix. He rides excellent in a car.  He loves people and other dogs. He likes to play and has a lot of energy. Easy to handle on a leash but still needs some leash manner, a basic obedience class will help a great deal.. He sits nicely for treats and is completely crate trained. He would love to have another dog as a playmate and a fenced yard.

Abby is a 10 month old Hound mix. She has just arrived and we will have more information and pictures soon!

UPDATE:

Abby is a 10 month old Hound mix. She is the spitting image of rugar except smaller. She loves to play and gets along great with other dogs. She is completely crate trained. She has some basic obedience but she is still very puppish. She would do best in an active home. She is still a little jumpy when not on her leash but very controllable.  She gets along great with Ruger and loves to play with the puppies.

Rugar is a 1 year old Lab/Hound mix. Rugar weighs about 60 pounds. He is obedience trained and the shelter workers  personal favorite on the dog floor, kinda the class clown.  He is her dog tester, he likes cats, small dogs, big dogs, pretty much the kind of guy that's never met a stranger! Rugar will now be joining BlueMoon and arriving on May 2nd.

Update:

He is a  very active boy who loves other dogs (still need to cat test him) but was good at the shelter with that. He is obedient and loves to wear the pups out by playing with rope toys. He is also great with Daisy. He is a player and needs a lot of exercise. He is definitely crate trained no accidents. He really does get along with anyone he meets! He just has a lot of energy and that needs to be realized,he will need an active family, and most likely another dog... He has been no problem here but has lots of exercise and other dogs to deal with. He loves to get the pups to play with him and wear them out. All and all a great dog !!

Reba is a Lab mix pup. She is UTD on her vaccinations and is spayed. Reba is a very sweet outgoing girl who likes to spend lots of time outside. she is working on housebreaking. she loves to cuddle with her foster family and loves her foster dogs. she must go to a home with another young dog. she is great around cats loves to chase them in a friendly way . she is being raised around children and is very gentle. must be in a home where family is there 90% of the time , she does not do well in a crate and home alone.
