This is Josie, the third of the breeder/owner surrenders. As you can see by the "smile" she's very happy to be with someone that loves her. She would love to have a family of her own to spend the upcoming cold winter nights snuggled at your side. She's approx. 5-6 yrs old. She gets along great with other dogs, cats and people. Josie is UTD her vaccinations and spayed.

UPDATE:

Josie is a great girl who loves to be loved and give love.  She does well with Dogs and cats.  She seems like little dogs a lot.  She is crate and house trained.  Once settled in she only barks when you get home because she is so excited to see you. She even does a little tap dance when waiting to get out of her crate. She walks VERY well on a leash.  She will also follow you around the house as she loves to be with people or dogs.  She is the best Foster dog I have had yet.

Hi, my name is Pam, I am a 45-50 lb retriever mix and I may have a little border collie in me, I know how to sit, and I am walking MUCH better on a leash now, after my new foster Mom showed me how. I LOVE to please and react very well to corrections, I am very smart, my mom says, and could really go far in a good obediance class. She says that I am a real sweetheart, as I love to cuddle with her and be by her side,

But the other thing is, I LOVE to retrieve and cant wait for her to throw a ball for me, that is such good fun, but I particulary LOVE soft squeaky toys, they are my favorite !!!! I am living with three other adult dogs, and also this great little golden pup is here also, What a cutie, we have such a great time together, mom says I am wonderful with Gerry, he is here because he has an appointment to be neutered this week, but whatever the reason we are having such a great time together !!!!

I was tested with something called a cat, but I didnt care one way or another about that, no problem, BUT I do love these little people Mom calls them kids, they are sure interesting, I like to follow them around , they are very interestrg and like to pet me a lot !!!!

I am totally vetted, I am spayed, utd on my shots , hw neg and wormed, AND  Mom was really happy as I am what she calls "housetrained" too !!!! Mom says I am so ready to find my great new family, I am sooo ready to find my new forever family !!!!

Ukie is a 9 year old Lab/Shepherd/Boxer mix. Ukie is a great dog, who loves being with his person(s). He loves to go for walks and walks nicely on a leash, always staying by your side. He is crate trained and housebroken. He gets along well with other dogs and cats. He knows basic obedience commands: sit, down, stay, and heel. Ukie will make a great companion and addition to any home. Even though he is 9 years old he is in excellent health and has lots of love and energy to give. Freckles is approximately two years old, friendly and loving. Freckles is an amazing dog. He loves people and other dogs. He always has a toy or a ball in his mouth and willing and ready to play. He will follow you around , as he just loves to be with people. He will make a great pet. Great with kids too. He is crate trained and is housebroken. He is capable of climbing fences, so if your not outside with him, I would put him on a leash. Freckles is UTD on his vaccinations and neutered!

Bobby is a 1 year old male Lab whose owners surrendered him because he got to big. Bobby is a lover that is full of energy, likes to jump on all 4's when he sees you and also does the Lab Wiggle. He lives with several other dogs, both male and female with no problems. Bobby loves to be made over, and loves to carry sticks and run in the backyard. Bobby has a food allergy and is fed Natures Recipe, wheat corn & beef free. He likes the Duck & Sweet Potato treats, also wheat free. He weighs approximately 60-70 pounds and is UTD on his vaccinations and neutered.

Harlan is a 6-7 month old Chocolate Lab mix. He is UTD on his vaccinations and is neutered. Harlan is a very sweet and friendly puppy. He loves to play with his toys and chew on his bones. He also loves to eat alot and have lots of treats. He is very shy around people, it is easier for him to get use to females. Males need to give him some extra time and lots of patience. He will not bite, just tries to hide. He is a great puppy to have around,  loves to play with other dogs and great with kids. Jag is a large hound mix that was a house companion until his human parents passed away. He was then put in his back yard until their home was sold. He then spent his days and nights in a car until an angel came his way and got him out of that situation. He is still a little arthritic , but still loves to take short walks. He loves to take baths and get towel dried! He is UTD on his vaccinations and is housetrained.

Nala is an 11 year old Poodle Terrier mix who lost her long time guardian to Alzheimer's disease last year. Prior to coming to NY, Nala was left out in the back yard while the estate was settled...cared for but lonely and confused.

 Nala is fairly active for her age, in great health and loves everyone she meets. She has some basic obedience, loves to ride in the car and walks well on a leash. She is perfectly happy to go for a walk or race around in the yard a bit then have a mid day nap. Nala is a very sweet girl who has been a solo dog most of her life and would prefer a home without cats.

She is scared of cats but does not hurt them. She is a real doll, and should ve arriving with Winnie on a transport for the 26th if all goes well,

Yogi is a 2-3 year old male Chocolate Lab. He is a great dog that really likes people and other dogs, including pups and small dogs.  He is housebroken, crate trained and UTD on his vaccinations and neutered.

Cheyenne was surrendered to a KY shether because her owner has a terminal illness and can no longer take care of her. She is as sweet as pie and smiles and wags her "butt" when you talk to her. She has been a house dog, and is housebroken Cheyenne is 3 years old and only about 45 lb. Please consider helping this girl out by giving her a forever home!

UPDATE 3/19/08:

Cheyenne is a hoot and very smart.She is learning to come and return the ball. She is walking better on a leash and she seems to love water. We went to Stony brook and even as cold as it is she wants in. She is not aggressive to the cats but still wants to chase them if they run. She loves the snow and chasing snow balls. She is a very HAPPY DOG.

"PLAIN BROWN BOB"

Bob is a 7 year old, 60 pound Boxer mix. His previous owner passed away in a house fire and Bob lost his home. No relatives wanted just a plain old dog so Bob was taken to a shelter. Bob is truly a go with the flow kind of guy. "Plain Brown Bob" is not plain or brown, he is a beautiful red color and his features are gorgeous! He is UTD on his vaccinations and neutered.

UPDATE:

Bob loves to be with people and dogs.  Ignores the cats.  You should see him and the other dog I have play together for Easter, I had a household full of people and other dogs and he enjoyed all the attention. One morning while we were taking our walks he wandered over to one of the businesses behind my residence and made himself welcome.  I think he would make a great shop dog -not to live there but to be like a WalMart type greeter or a therapy dog. Any job where there will be attention focused on him.  He likes bones and playing tug of war with the other dog. I do believe the new home should have another dog.  Preferably female.  I've nicknamed him Bub with the wiggly stub.
