Boone is a ten month old Coonhound/ Shepherd mix. He weighs about 55 lbs but is very slender and leggy. Boone is rather shy by nature and takes a while to warm up to people, but once he does he loves them for life. He’s a good cuddler once he trusts you and feels comfortable with you. He is quiet and not much of a barker, but he will bark when he wants to go outside or when playing with the other dogs.

Boone absolutely loves other dogs and is constantly playing with them, baiting them and laying with them. He would do best in a home with another dog. We are working on Boone’s leash-training but he definitely needs a home with a fenced yard. He is housetrained and knows basic commands such as sit and shake.

What Boone needs most is a family that is not discouraged by his shyness and will work with him and love him unconditionally so that he can open up to them and show them his true, loveable self.
