9 years old
was my dad's dog. He passed in June and we have been working
with her. She was a farm dog, always caged outside and
crated indoors. No real training but learns fast. She
has a history of aggression towards female dogs, is with
a male dog now and gets very well but dominant at playtimes.
I honestly think it would be best for her to be the only
has extreme separation anxiety, is very clingy and emotional.
Losing the only owner she has known contributed, but she
was like this before too.
a strong hunting/tracking instinct, is okay with the cats
that were in the house when she got here but attacked
a 16 yr old cat that we brought in afterwards.
though it doesn't look it from what I wrote above, she
is a sweetheart, walks great on the leash, can walk for
ages and wants to please. Loves attention, enjoys being
brushed and is doing great being housetrained. She took
a while to be brave enough to get on the couch but has
mastered it and is so proud of herself now. She does enjoy
tearing up toys which can get expensive (yay for BarkBox)
