Meet Ceasar: 5-15-06
Like most dogs & cats who owners die with no plans for their continous care, Caesar was taken from his home to a Animal Control facility whoeuthanasia rate is very high. Caesar is a1 1/2 yr old purebred GSD. Upon learning what happened to her beloved brother's Ceaser, the man's sister immediately reclaimed him ; but was unable to take him into her home. She took him to a safe boarding kennel.
When we were made aware of Caesar's plight, we immediately asked one of our German Shepherd expereinced members to go assess him.
Here are some of her first impression:
Well I just got back from visiting with Caeser. He is AWESOME! One of the sweetest temperaments ever. The only thing is he WILL bark when someone is on the other side of the fence, but while he's barking, the tail is wagging. This dog let me touch him all over, passed the pinch test, dominance pet. I took treats right out of his mouth without a problem. He does like his toys, but if you try to take it away from him he just runs and makes you try to chase him. He may not be good in a home with small children because he loves to jump up and express his love and might knock a little one down. This boy is GORGEOUS, sweet, friendly, he knows basic commands. He sat and gave his paw. He's not wonderful on a leash but he does ok if you keep him on a tight leash with a choke collar. He just needs to learn a little leash manners.

Caesar is extremely friendly and very loving. Caesar is in excellent health and has some training. This is one nice boy who needs a special person in his life help his broken heart mend.
Caesar is being boarded with other dogs in the same kennel , so he seems to have no issues with other dogs. Caeser is eligible for our foster to adopt program. He is currently being boarded by his Orphan Angel until a foster can be located.
