Meet Griffin:
Griffin, a 1 1/2 -2 yr old white GSD male. His owner had a heart attack and can no longer care for him. Griffin should arrive Mar 19th if his transport fills. Griffin was in GA, and he will be flown in a private plane this eve, by Peter and Molly (great people) to Cindy Heron in TN.

Griffin did well on his flight and is tucked in safe with our friends, Furry Friends, in TN. His arrival date to NY is March 19th. A huge THANKS to Peter & Molly and the folks at Furry Friends!
3-21-06 UPDATE:
Griffin has arrived in NY. He is doing fine and we will post more information when he settles in with his foster family.
3-26-06 UPDATE:
Griffin has arrived! Griffin's dad suffered a major heart attack that left him to ill to care for him. The owner's wife, who is elderly hersef, could not handle such a large young dog either. So Griffin ended up in a GA shelter and due to the shelter's low adoption rate, facing euthanasia. Griffin lived in GA, he is a true southern Gentleman. Thanks to some wonderful people who helped him, he came to BlueMoon by private plane and car. He was a great boy during the entire trip! This picture was taken during his the last part of his journey. He loves people especially women, he craves attention. He is a large boy who does not always know his size.
Griffin, is around 18 months and is a German Shepherd. He is in good health and 74lbs. We will get some good pictures for you ASAP!
4-04-06 UPDATE:

Griffin is not a pure White Shepherd as we had first thought. I believe he is a Shepherd/Yellow Lab mix because of his size and webbed toes. This boy is no couch potato! He is very active and needs a home that would allow him to expend his energy. Although he is friendly with everyone,Griffin attaches very quickly to women. He thrives on attention and is constantly by your side. Griffin is totally off leash at all times and never strays from an unfenced yard or on daily walks in the woods. He does know all basic commands and is crate trained.
4-21-06 UPDATE:
I just had to tell you again how much we love Griffin. He is settling right into the king of the castle role. He has his favorite spots in the house, most of them in front of windows, and has settled into a basic routine of sleep, walks, playtime and, for my sake, time-out naps when he's too wound up. When I tell him to lay on his cushion and take a break, he grumbles a little, but is soon snoring and snoozing. He is so funny. He really is a dilly!!
He's such a puppy yet in the way he approaches each day and everything he encounters as new and fascinating. I love being woken up by his snuggling and kissing, tail wagging so hard the bed shakes. Each morning on his first time outside, he checks the grass for dampness, then rolls in it several times making silly noises. Everyday he heads to the creek, splashes around, gets dirty, comes back and waits for me to rinse him off. He loves to drink from a hose and is so funny when he does it while I'm rinsing him.
Right now, he's sitting in the armchair next to me, watching the Cardinal fighting with it's reflection in the big window. His head follows the birds motions, then he looks at me like "look at that crazy bird". Griff has quite a personality showing through each day. He is definitely a special boy!Have a great day. I know I will, with Griff by my side!
Thank you again so very much!
Carol and Griff
