She currently in foster care in Va. Foster's comments" What an outstanding dog! She came from a home with kids, and is great with other dogs. My vet says he is the spitting image of an expensive "designer dog" that is one of her clients--a "labradoodle!" She has a brother named Leo. Leo found a new home and Lissa still needs help!

Lissa to HERE! and in foster care; since no FTA option was offered. Comments from her foster mom, Beth-
What a doll baby, Lissa has arrived !!! Lissa bonds very quickly with whoever she deems to be her "person". She is very happy to be out of that shelter, but may be just a little insecure without her littermate Leo, who was adopted in VA. She seems to have no problems with other dogs at all. Lissa is a small dog, maybe 35-40 lbs. She still needs to be spayed, so I will get her in this week if I can. Everything else is up to date, and she is hw neg. She only arrived here this morning, so we are still learning about her, but so far I have seen nothing but a happy, friendly pup. Her paperwork says she is only 1 year old. She has been around children, and she is great. I think Lissa will need another small to medium dog to play with, and will do fine with children. I wil test her with a cat in a day or two, and also get some new pictures of this little sweetheart.

Lissa has been with me a full week now. She is just the sweetest pup you will find. She has lots of energy, and is very playful, but settles nicely in the house after she has had her exercise. She crates well, but will bark if we leave, but will settle after awhile and is resting comfortably when we return home. She rides great in a car, and just lays right down either on the seat or the floor. She will go in this coming Wed to be spayed, so she should be ready to go soon. Lissa has NOT had one accident in her crate or in the house, so it would appear that she is totally housetrained. Lissa needs some basic training as she is not very good on a leash. A fenced in yard would be great for her, and she would really need another doggie pal to play with to help her expend some of her energy.
She is young and puppyish, so she will need a patient and active owner to keep her busy so that she gets the playtime she needs to settle. She is great with my three dogs, both male and female, all German Shepherds, which she runs circles around and is not fearfull of them at all. I think that she will be great for kids, just not real young children, she loves everyone she comes in contact with, what a doll baby. With a little maturity and training she will make an excellent companion !!!!
