Matilda and Pretty Girl (PG)

Matilda and Pretty girl were taken to a KY shelter due to family tragedy. Their mom was seriously injured and no longer able to care for her 4-legged children.

Matilda is a 5 yr old Clumber Spaniel mix. She loves to roll on her back & have her belly rubbed. She is loving, playful and great with other dogs.

Pretty Girl (PG) is her daughter, so we believe. She is around 1 year old and her dad was mostly an Australian Shepherd (Aussie) or Aussie Mix . PG LOVES other dogs, loves to play ball, and is about 40 lbs full grown!

We are trying to bring these two girls to BlueMoon the weekend before Christmas. However, transportation could be an issue over the holidays. The shelter is committed to "hold" them for us; if transportation can not be filled... they are not in harms way. Of course they will still be available for adoption while at the shelter.

Dec 20th Update:

Pretty Girl adopted directly from the shelter. She will not be coming to BlueMoon. Matilda's transport is full and she should be joining us on Christmas eve! THANKS TRANSPORT TEAM!!!

Dec 23th Update: Thank you everyone for your help in getting Matilda and Mush out of the shelter !  Mush was picked up in Mentor OH and will be in our Foster to Adopt program with Jill.  I am sure everything will work out very well ....  Matilda is with Melanie for the night and she will continue her journey tomorrow morning to Rochester.  From what I hear, she will DEFINATELY need a bath but other than that, she is a real love !  I am sure Shannon will enjoy Matilda's company once they both settle in.  I will let you know when Matilda has arrived safe and sound.  You can check out updates on our website at www.bluemoonmeadows.org .   Thank you again everyone !  Merry Christmas, Happy New Year & Seasons Greetings to you and yours !!!   Kori Kent Blue Moon Meadows Transport Coordinator/ Trustee of the Board

Dec 24th Update:

Matilda is here and enjoying her Christmas with her foster family.

Hi All, Just wanted to let you know that Yes, Indeed Matilda is a peach! I gave her a bath as soon as we got home and she needs another because she wasn't overly happy being in there the first time. She is settling in with Zack and Daisy without any problems. No worries! They are all lying at my feet chewing on rawhide bones..... ahhhhh, Merry Christmas! Shannon 0:)

Jan 2nd Update:

Hi there, Miss Matilda is settling in just fine. I can't quite figure out the pecking order here. Everyone seems to be pretty equal and they get along fine with each other. Every once in a while Zack and Matty take after Bob when he starts to run out the door, but they are pretty easily redirected. Daisy could care less about the cat and just watches him go! Matty is a very happy girl and her tail is always wagging. When she is excited her whole body is moving back and forth with her tail. She has a grooming date on Tuesday with Vickie.

Miss Daisy has finally figured out the wood floors here and is no longer afraid to walk through the house without me at her side. She is a wonderful girl! She loves to lay beside me on the couch and is content to be there ALL day. If she's not on the couch she's lying at my feet. She goes out to play without a fuss but would prefer to be inside cuddling. Despite being a pack of dogs at feeding time, there is no food aggression with anyone. Whoever walks to the dish first is the first one to eat and the others just wait patiently. They are very good with treats too. They just wait patiently for their turn. After having the pack of boys over the summer it's nice to have some nice calm females around! I think that having them here has really helped Zack! Take care! Shannon 0:)
