Shadow is a 3 yr od German Shepherd who's suddenly found himself homeless when his owner became ill to care for him. He and his housemate Princess were both dumped at the Liberty Animal Shelter in Jersey City, NJ. Princess was helped by a local rescue that did not have room for Shadow too. A kind friend of BlueMoon offered be Shadow's Orphan Angel .

Shadow is being treated for a nasty ear infection, but otherwise has had excellent health care. His ear infection is getting much better. He is up-to-date on all his vaccinations, heartworm negative and neutered. He has one droopy ear due to a healed Aural Hematoma. (Aural Hematoma- When a dog with uncomfortable ears shakes and scratches vigorously, a blood vessel in the ear flap may rupture.  A harmless injury but without surgery, the ear may scar down into an abnormal appearance).

Shadow knows basic commands and listens well. He is easy going and takes whatever is thrown his way, in stride. Shadow, in addition to getting along with dogs and people, is a fan of the feline kind as well. It is obvious that he was loved dearly by his owner. Shadow is great on and off leash. This is mellow boy who just like to be with his people. He is very fond of people both big and small; but he seems to especially love adult men. Shadow is completely housebroke and has nice house manners. He loves to play ball and stick.....which he brings it back to you! He weights around 85 lbs.
