Sonny is a 2 1/2 year old male Golden mix whose owner became too ill to care for him anymore. Sonny was taken to a local shelter and just escaped death when the shelter burned down. A few lucky dogs, like Sonny, were in holding pens outside the shelter and survived. Sadly, all the animals in the shelter perished. With no home or no shelter, Sonny was doomed when a nice shelter volunteer brought him to our attention.
Sonny is update to date on all his vaccinations, neutered, and heartworm clear. Sonny is good with kids, other dogs and cats.
Sonny is up-to-date on his vaccinations, neutered, and heartworm negative.
3-01-07: Sonny is a very happy, engerectic, and "strong-willed" guy. He needs a strong owner, and it appears that he likes women more than men. He appears to be Akita/Golden mix. Sonny is about 2 -2 1/2 years old. He enjoys lots of play time and loves to run. He would do best with a fenced yard to run freely in and play catch.
Sonny has had an obedience class and did well. He will sit for his supper and will "down". He does a nice heel and knows to sit when you stop. He would be best as an only pet. Sonny is ok with our cats but I think he'd rather not have them around. He is crate trained and will lick his fore legs when bored, even if he's not crated.
Sonny loves to cuddle, he will crawl up into your lap and snuggle with you. Sonny is a chewer. He enjoys his toys and loves his rawhide. Sonny is handsome dog that needs to find a firm disciplined owner.
